Alan Wakefield

Alan Wakefield is a curator at the Imperial War Museum, London. He holds an MA in War Studies from King's College London. Alan has written a number of books and articles on various aspects of World War I. He is a member of the British Commission for Military History and currently holds the position of Chairman of the Salonika Campaign Society. He is also a contributor to 1001 Battles That Changed the Course of History (2015), where an earlier version of this Britannica entry first appeared.
